About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of skilled sales engineers
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies
  • Provide technical expertise and facilitate sales of application/system solutions
  • Provide adsorbent design assistance and consultation to sales personnel, especially for unique or new opportunities
  • Review adsorption-unit process drawings and operating procedures
  • Provide or lead on-site service efforts for customer adsorption units used to dry and purify processing-industry streams
  • Perform preventative maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting, and improve design correlations
  • Prepare customer presentations and written reports of on-site efforts
  • Conduct on-site pilot testing to help develop improved adsorbents
  • Learn and use portable analytical equipment at customer sites
  • Participate in customer and contractor meetings
  • Ensure adsorbent-related content is represented at appropriate sales events
  • Build customer relationships and collaborate with business, sales, services, marketing, and breakthrough-initiative stakeholders
  • Report to the Application/System Sales Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Refining, Petrochemicals, or Gas Processing, including Sales, Technical Sales, Technical Service, or Engineering experience
  • 6+ years of adsorbent experience
  • Experience related to adsorption technologies such as molecular sieves and aluminas is considered ideal
  • Prior field experience and utilization of analytical equipment in refinery, petrochemical, and natural gas technologies is desirable
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time, both domestic and international, sometimes on short notice
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and long hours at customer sites
  • Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Physical inspection may require climbing and confined-space entry to pressure vessels at customer sites
  • Attention to job safety and conducting work safely is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is valued
