About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Raise compliance awareness with internal stakeholders and provide specialized advice and training
  • Set up and maintain the operational framework for internal risk review and response
  • Document and pressure-test compliance processes
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts in international trade
  • Advise Sales and Program Management stakeholders on risk throughout pursuits
  • Initiate and coordinate risk reviews
  • Perform routine compliance checks as part of the internal control environment
  • Resolve complex compliance and risk assessment issues in cooperation with other professionals
  • Improve operational compliance touchpoints with IT infrastructure and daily operations
  • Exchange knowledge and develop best practices with regional trade, export control and sanctions professionals
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary measures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or three years of corporate experience in lieu of a degree
  • Fluent English (C1 and above)
  • Exposure to export compliance through work experience, or interest in compliance themes and willingness to learn
  • Experience as a people leader or experience leading subject matter topics within a high-stakes environment
  • Growth mindset and resilient personality
  • Independent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Education or background in law or compliance
  • SAP / GTS knowledge
  • Fluency in other European language(s)
  • Background or interest in data analytics and automation projects
  • Project management certification or experience leading projects
  • Experience with sanctions regimes of the US, EU, UK or other jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of European Union Dual-Use Regulation
  • Knowledge of military export controls
  • Knowledge of US Export Controls (EAR or ITAR)
  • Knowledge of Customs Regulation
  • Knowledge of Anti-Boycott
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering
