About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure Virtual Desktop environments in Azure
Implement and maintain user access controls, security policies, and profile management using FSLogix
Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and reliability of AVD workloads
Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting
Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline integration
Build dashboards and alerts for VDI health and performance using Azure Monitor or third-party solutions
Administer and support VMware Horizon infrastructure, including connection servers, Unified Access Gateways, and desktop pools
Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues across Windows virtual desktops
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and resilience
Provide Tier 2/3 support for VDI-related incidents and service requests
Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) architecture and operations
Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting
Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon administration
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
English proficiency
5 years of experience
Experience with GitHub for source control and automation workflows
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, FSLogix, and conditional access
Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices
