About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate IT S4 terminology into clear business planning language
- Coordinate with planning and IT teams to keep the S4 implementation plan on track
- Work with site planning teams to drive adoption of standard and improved processes across Process Technologies
- Define process gaps, gap closure activities, and UAT testing
- Map current-state and future-state planning functions, including master production scheduling, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory management, and plan attainment
- Define planning processes between Kinaxis, S4 PPDS, and MRP systems
- Improve planning metrics including MPS attainment, OTFP, OTTR, and Past Due
- Improve master data cleanliness and standardization for work centers, resources, recipes, routings, material masters, and routings
- Coordinate with the analytics team on reporting development
- Report directly to the Director of Materials Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of material planning processes and their dependency on system data and functionality
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly MRP/SAP systems, including inventory, MPS creation, and capacity planning
- Ability to analyze data and optimize material flow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of materials management, operations, SIOP, inventory management, procurement logistics, and manufacturing
- Experience in planning transformation and understanding of business benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Kinaxis, PPDS, and advanced planning systems
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience leading projects and driving change within materials management
- Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
