About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, mission-critical data centre projects
- Provide executive leadership across multiple data centre projects or programmes
- Develop project delivery strategies aligned with business objectives
- Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement and project-delivery best practices
- Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centre projects
- Oversee project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and resource management
- Coordinate design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams
- Manage critical milestones and resolve complex delivery challenges
- Serve as senior point of contact for clients and executive stakeholders
- Build relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Lead executive steering committees and project status reviews
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, contingencies, cash flow, contracts, and commercial risks
- Champion health, safety, and environmental excellence and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, quality assurance, and commissioning activities
- Lead and mentor project managers, technician leads, engineers, and support functions
- Oversee HVAC, cooling infrastructure, BMS, and EPMS systems
- Ensure integrated systems testing and commissioning
- Support operational readiness and transition to facility operations teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- 10+ years of project delivery experience within construction, engineering, or mission-critical environments
- Significant experience delivering large-scale data centre projects, typically exceeding $10–$100 million in value
- Proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated success delivering projects for hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise clients
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement strategies
- Knowledge of data centre design principles
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Stakeholder management experience
- Client relationship management experience
