About the role

  • Coordinate tax return preparation by third-party service providers
  • Review tax filings to ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare working papers and assist in compiling data
  • Identify, research, and evaluate alternative tax positions
  • Determine and implement supportable, cost-effective filing positions
  • Assist with tax audits and controversies, including responding to government information requests
  • Support the defense of tax filing positions during audits
  • Coordinate audit strategies with current and former business groups
  • Review annual tax provisions and tax provision-to-return reconciliations for global consolidation
  • Collaborate with business units to identify and research tax planning opportunities
  • Assist with evaluating tax consequences of UK group and legal entity rationalization activities
  • File the Senior Accounting Officer certificate and Corporate Interest Restriction returns
  • Coordinate country-by-country notifications and HMRC Business Risk Review activities
  • Monitor legal developments and industry positions relevant to Honeywell's business operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accountancy or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in directly related and progressively responsible tax positions
  • Strong working knowledge of UK tax rules and regulations
  • Ideally CTA, ACCA or ACA qualified with substantial tax experience
  • Big Four or large accounting firm experience would be an advantage
  • Understanding of US GAAP would be an advantage
