About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage trade finance operations, including parent company guarantees, letters of credit, and other trade-related financial instruments
- Develop and implement policies and enhance procedures to optimize trade finance processes and minimize financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify exposures and develop trade finance strategies to mitigate risk
- Partner with the commercial organization to structure deals that include or require trade finance instruments
- Maintain records of all instruments issued and proactively cancel instruments no longer needed
- Report to the Senior Director Treasury Americas
- Support strategic initiatives that improve management of customer and supplier credit exposure
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in trade finance or treasury operations, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities
- Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, risk management, and compliance regulations
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective trade finance strategies that enhance financial performance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in trade finance systems and financial analysis tools
- Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of guarantees and trade finance instruments
- Experience in managing trade finance operations
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is valued
- Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating financial risks
