About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines and data models
  • Translate raw product usage and event telemetry into trusted, documented analytics assets
  • Partner with Product Engineering on the canonical product data layer
  • Define product usage cohorts and behavioral signals using accurate, governed source data
  • Support taxonomy definition, metric certification, and governance documentation
  • Build and own the semantic layer and self-service Product Analytics data models
  • Own data quality monitoring and anomaly detection for product usage data
  • Build pipelines and models for expansion and upsell cohorts, usage thresholds, feature adoption, and seat utilization metrics
  • Collaborate on company-wide analytics standards and tooling enablement
  • Present technical data concepts and business implications to engineering, non-technical stakeholders, and leadership
  • Drive engineering best practices within Product Analytics data assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience spanning data engineering and analytics
  • Advanced SQL
  • Hands-on experience with dbt
  • Experience building production data pipelines and stakeholder-facing analytics/dashboards
  • Experience translating ambiguous business requirements into governed, well-documented data models
  • Experience partnering with product/engineering teams on instrumentation and source data design
  • Experience with data governance or metrics-certification processes
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data pipelines
  • Regular use of AI in coding/development workflows
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
