About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Facilitate bids, analysis and negotiations for assigned goods and services
Process all purchase orders accurately and timely according to company standard process
Manage day-to-day business relationships and transactions with key suppliers using Annual and Blanket Agreements
Communicate demand, volume, and delivery time changes
Resolve issues, share end-user feedback, follow up on backorders, and support ordering activities
Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of quality goods and services meeting company service and price standards
Work with purchasing and finance teams to implement initiatives that reduce transaction costs and consolidate volume
Collaborate across organizational levels, functions, and brands to support procurement goals and objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

AA or BA/BS in Business or related field required
Minimum of 3-5 years facility or commodity purchasing experience
Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing
Basic understanding of finance functions
Experience in Lawson is a plus, but not required
Quick customer service/problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships
