About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bid out and manage all contracts
  • Submit invoices and track project budgets
  • Work with Field Managers to ensure contractors perform work according to contract
  • Negotiate the lowest cost possible and source newer products to lower costs and improve renovation quality and aesthetic appeal
  • Partner with senior management to determine spec levels
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each renovation job
  • Manage, train, and fire general contractors and subcontractors
  • Recruit new contractors and vendor relationships through networking and cold calls
  • Ensure contractors are properly registered before starting jobs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder and remodeling company
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Understanding of and ability to speak some Spanish (nice to have)
