Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain environmental and infection control standards according to established policies and procedures
  • Perform general cleaning tasks in assigned areas to provide a safe and attractive environment for patients, guests, and staff
  • Interact positively and professionally with patients, family, and staff
  • Participate in meetings, huddles, and team activities
  • Respond to requests for assistance with directions and information
  • Respond promptly to assignments supporting a healing environment
  • Perform room cleaning processes to support timely patient admissions
  • Follow room-cleaning and discharge-inspection processes
  • Achieve discharge, daily room-cleaning, and assigned-area turnaround times

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers
  • Ability to access information within the department and hospital system
  • Ability to multitask and complete work within designated time frames
  • Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals
  • Must follow policies, procedures, safety rules, standard infection control precautions, and OSHA standards
  • May be required to be on-call during emergencies
  • FLSA status: Non-exempt
