About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly with consultants and client directors who use the analytical products and connect the team to the business
Serve as the first point of contact for users of live analytical products
Triage questions, requests, and changes; resolve issues where possible and schedule remaining work
Own backlog management in Azure DevOps
Manage change and release discipline
Run the team’s governance and approval process
Maintain documentation, records, and evidence for governance, reporting, and assurance obligations
Contribute to building new analytical products
Develop reusable components, libraries, and templates
Contribute to the team’s internal delivery and deployment platform
Work across Python, Shiny, Quarto, git, Azure DevOps, containerised deployment, and infrastructure-as-code
Collaborate with a distributed team primarily through Teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Consulting mindset and enjoyment of working across varied problems
Evidence of analytical or data work relied upon by others
Experience supporting users of a product or system built by you or your team
Experience handling user requests and changes
Experience maintaining documentation, governance processes, and delivery records
Working experience with Python
Working experience with some of Shiny or another interactive analytical UI framework, Quarto or similar reporting tooling, git, and Azure DevOps or another pipeline and work-tracking platform
Ability and willingness to learn the remainder of the technology stack quickly
Ability to build, read, write, debug, and review code without AI coding agents
Ability to explain all code personally
Ability to work effectively in a distributed team primarily collaborating over Teams
Ability to work in a fast-growing environment with incomplete and evolving processes, systems, and structures
