About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide infrastructure support for the US region
- Support local cloud, datacenter, and network infrastructure
- Maintain availability and support of hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Provide escalation support to the Group IT Service Desk
- Ensure production service changes follow change-control processes
- Produce and update technical documentation
- Conduct root-cause analysis after unplanned disruptions
- Perform problem management for repeat incidents affecting business services
- Use incident management systems to identify trends and troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Develop strong relationships with business units and support their use of IT systems
- Take ownership of issues and provide updates to users
- Maintain accurate records in Group and Company systems
- Interpret issues and instructions and implement actions according to policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and anti-bribery procedures
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience as a cloud/infrastructure engineer or in similar IT roles
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and M365
- Extensive experience with multi-site and multi-forest Active Directory environments, Group Policy, and DNS
- Extensive experience with patch management, mobile device management, and monitoring systems
- Extensive experience with Windows desktop troubleshooting
- Extensive experience with cloud, server, desktop, network, and telephony providers
- Extensive experience working with datacenters
- Good knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, dynamic routing, MPLS, and firewall management
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls; CATO SD-WAN experience preferred
- Good knowledge of IT security practices, event logging, and alerting tools
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies, including Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, and 2012
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
- Good knowledge of SCCM and patching
- Good knowledge of Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-V
- Good knowledge of Azure
- Experience with Office 365/CoreView
- Experience scripting, for example PowerShell
- Experience with antivirus technologies such as Tanium/CrowdStrike
- Knowledge of identity management solutions such as Entra ID
- Knowledge of proxy services such as Netskope
- Knowledge of Keyfactor PKI and certificate lifecycle management
- Experience administering and supporting Imperva security solutions, including WAF
- Examples of similar successful positions in the past
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial services sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication; Spanish is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
