About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce high-quality monthly analysis from every part of the P&L at reporting-unit level, including drivers and supporting commentary
Contribute to monthly management reporting and quarterly Group board papers
Track, report, and explain new initiatives, market rate analysis, and key cost categories
Manage finance queries, financial analysis, and support through to satisfactory conclusions
Produce insightful MI and analysis to drive performance and support decision-making
Own the central cost base and partner with senior central team leaders
Work with business leaders and the data team to develop PowerBI dashboards and reports
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, owning key areas and aspects of the plan
Review and understand investment cases, identifying risks and opportunities
Support FP&A projects, initiatives, and tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Newly ACA/ACCA qualified ideally; part-qualified individuals with experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Insurance will be considered
Quick learner, curious self-starter, able to retain and integrate learnings
Comfortable working autonomously within limited oversight
Exceptional analytical, Excel, and communication skills
Tangible experience using data and insight to tell a clear story, drive improvement, and build strong relationships
Able to convert financial acumen into simple, understandable dialogue and updates for non-finance users
Experience using large data sets and PowerBI or similar is essential
Previous experience in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment is essential, ideally in an insurance brokerage or banking background
Experience using Acturis, Anaplan, and OneStream is ideal but not essential
