About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Howmet Aerospace’s Financial Shared Services in Székesfehérvár
Perform general accounting functions and month-end closing for operating locations
Use company accounting, control and reporting systems, including Oracle, Hyperion, RST and ASP
Apply accounting manuals, SOPs and procedures during daily work and month-end closing
Process location-initiated transactions and perform daily controls and reconciliations
Conduct pre-closing, post-closing and reconciliation conference calls with locations
Own and monitor the monthly closing checklist, escalating errors and deficiencies to the Supervisor/Manager
Solve problems to root cause and prevent recurrence
Provide reports, data analysis and explanations as requested
Perform regular and occasional accounting tasks
Resolve issues with locations and seek assistance when necessary
Maintain regular contact with Financial Shared Services customers
Perform transactions related to business acquisitions and divestitures
Complete accounting work according to departmental standards and deadlines
Ensure account reconciliations comply with company policy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Secondary school certificate, specialized at finance and/or accounting/economics
English and Hungarian language skill
MS Office products and computer skills, including spreadsheet, data query and data manipulation
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Accuracy and correctness
Strong communication skills, including both face to face and remote interaction
Degree in finance or accounting obtained at a college or university preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of finance/accounting or shared services environment preferred
ERP system knowledge preferred
