About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support projects that strengthen Howmet’s Ethics & Compliance program and employee compliance tools
- Contribute to policy updates, awareness efforts, and core compliance processes
- Support projects involving the reporting hotline and investigations process, third-party risk management, conflicts of interest, gifts, hospitality and travel, and anti-corruption and bribery
- Assist with reviewing and updating policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to enhance training and communication materials
- Contribute to initiatives that improve employee awareness of Howmet’s Ethics & Compliance program
- Gain exposure to collaboration with Human Resources, Legal, Information Security, Internal Audit, and Finance to mitigate risks
- Complete impactful assignments during the 12-week Summer 2027 internship
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with an interest in pre-law and anticipated graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, or currently enrolled in a JD program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with other disciplines
- Interest in understanding how corporate compliance functions operate
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Employment eligibility verification required at hire
- Visa sponsorship is not available
