About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join Howmet Aerospace's Legal team for an 8-week internship in Summer 2027
- Work from the corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA under a hybrid schedule, with remote work on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Gain hands-on experience in corporate law, contract management, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
- Prepare briefing documents, risk assessments, and policy updates
- Assist in regulatory filings and compliance monitoring
- Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts
- Conduct legal research
- Perform due diligence reviews
- Participate in team meetings
- Work with leaders and the Legal team on impactful assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a JD program at an accredited law school (ideally a rising 3L in the Summer of 2027)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to contribute
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Employment eligibility verification required at the time of hire
- Visa sponsorship is not available
