About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop tailored Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solution proposals and presentations for public sector organizations
  • Partner with sales teams to understand scope, client requirements, procurement considerations, and business objectives
  • Identify opportunities and present solutions addressing client needs
  • Lead discovery sessions, product demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and supporting materials
  • Apply best practices, technical innovations, and optimization opportunities to shape Microsoft-based public sector capabilities
  • Engage stakeholders from architectural and solution scoping through technology strategy
  • Develop practical solution architectures considering regulatory, procurement, budget, legacy technology, organizational, geographic, financial, security, and technology factors
  • Collaborate with delivery and implementation teams to transition solutions from presales through project delivery
  • Stay current on Microsoft ecosystem trends, advancements, competitive landscape, and public sector digital transformation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to public sector clients
  • Translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Create solution proposals, architectural diagrams, presentations, and other presales documentation
  • Assess existing processes, legacy environments, business requirements, and modernization objectives
  • Evaluate technology feasibility and recommend solutions aligned with architectural requirements and organizational priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience selling, consulting on, implementing, or architecting Microsoft Dynamics Business Applications or related enterprise technology solutions
  • Experience supporting public sector organizations is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with state or local government, education, public agencies, or other government/public sector organizations
  • At least one Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation, with documentation, in the role of Solution Architect
  • Strong understanding of public sector business and operational environments
  • Experience with financial management, budgeting, procurement, grants, project accounting, asset management, or other government business processes is highly valuable
  • Expert-level knowledge in at least one core area of Microsoft solutions
  • Broad understanding of the Microsoft technology platform
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, discovery, and demonstration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to connect technical capabilities to client challenges and desired outcomes
  • Customer-facing consulting or presales experience engaging IT leaders, business and program owners, executive stakeholders, and end users
  • Prior experience in consulting, business analysis, implementation, solution architecture, or product support related to Microsoft Business Applications
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholders, priorities, approval processes, and technology environments
  • Ability to travel 30% or more
