About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Director of Finance with financial management and oversight of donor-funded and restricted funding programmes
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies
  • Oversee global grant administration activities within Salesforce
  • Ensure grant and funding data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Support planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of Special Project budgets
  • Work with project leads to ensure effective financial management and delivery within approved funding levels
  • Partner with the Director of Finance, Financial Controller, Core Operating Group, and wider Finance team on financial planning, reporting, and strategic projects
  • Lead grant and donor finance processes, including proposal costings, financial reporting, compliance, due diligence, and restricted fund management
  • Manage grant tracking, reporting, funding allocations, budgets, forecasts, and expenditure records in Salesforce
  • Review grant requests, Gift Aid claims, giving journals, and fund allocations
  • Provide financial analysis, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting support to operational departments and regional teams
  • Lead monthly income pipeline reviews, reconciliations, and restricted fund allocations
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, processes, and special projects, including change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and cross-functional coordination

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recognised senior accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and/or Business Analyst qualification (BCS)
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of project management in a finance environment
  • Excellent multitasking and attention to detail
  • High level of computer literacy with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Clear, concise report writing and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organisational levels and major donors
