About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting on Linde, Baoli, and competitive-brand forklifts and material handling equipment
Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic system schematics
Repair or replace electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG, power steering, transmission, and engine components with limited supervision
Identify and order necessary replacement parts
Troubleshoot and diagnose truck components and complex electrical systems on IC and electric trucks
Perform engine tune-ups on most equipment makes without supervision
Perform preventive maintenance in a timely manner
Operate and maintain the service van safely and securely
Assist with training and mentoring apprentice mechanics through on-the-job training
Demonstrate exceptional customer service while representing the company
Work across the HTX Material Handling footprint to support customers
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Background or experience in maintaining Lift Trucks / Forklifts is REQUIRED
High school diploma / G.E.D / Other Technical training
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance on industrial equipment and/or machines
Valid Driver’s License, maintained during employment, with a good driving record
Demonstrated ability to repair equipment per skill level
Basic computer knowledge, including Personal Computers, Tablets, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems
Proficient in repairing and maintaining industrial equipment
Must be fluent in English
Understanding of Spanish will be considered a plus
Ability to use special tools and maintain and properly use normal tools of the trade
Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
Ability to work across the entire HTX Material Handling footprint and at customer sites
