About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a book of insurance business
  • Provide professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues
  • Support Producers and/or Account Executives in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business
  • Work with Producers and HUB personnel on client service, marketing, and renewal activities
  • Prepare and implement transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
  • Understand clients’ insurance objectives and analyze and compare insurance plans for suitability
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance industry changes and make recommendations to clients
  • Attend industry-related continuing education training and courses
  • Liaise between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues
  • Negotiate with underwriters and carriers as needed
  • Troubleshoot claims and billing issues
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for HUB products and services
  • Document other insurance products and services clients purchase through other providers
  • Maintain accurate and organized account files and update HUB and agency management systems
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and comparisons for management
  • Support account rounding and new business development as appropriate
  • Organize and conduct client meetings with or without the producer
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Associate degree (2-year degree)
  • 2-5 years insurance industry experience, brokerage preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Property & Causality License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and agency management systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of insurance industry changes and external conditions affecting clients
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively with insurance and service vendors
  • Ability to respond to customer needs and handle difficult or emotional customer situations
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to gather information, analyze facts, and solve problems
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Must be able to operate a computer and office productivity machinery
  • No travel required
