About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a book of insurance business
  • Provide professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, and business partners
  • Support Producers and/or Account Executives in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business
  • Collaborate with Producers and HUB personnel on client service, marketing, and renewals
  • Prepare and implement transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
  • Analyze and compare insurance plans to determine suitability
  • Stay current on insurance industry changes and external conditions affecting clients
  • Make appropriate recommendations to clients
  • Attend industry-related continuing education training and courses
  • Liaise between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues
  • Negotiate with underwriters and carriers as needed
  • Troubleshoot claims and billing issues
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for HUB products and services
  • Document clients’ other insurance products and providers
  • Maintain accurate and organized account files and update HUB and agency management systems
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and comparisons for management
  • Handle account rounding and develop new business as appropriate
  • Organize and conduct client meetings
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2-5 years insurance industry experience (brokerage preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Property & Casualty License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and agency management systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to remain stationary for the majority of the workday
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to operate a computer and office productivity machinery
  • Required travel: No Travel Required
