About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a book of commercial lines insurance business
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues
  • Field phone calls, emails, and other communications regarding coverage questions, policy changes, payments, and cancellations
  • Manage all aspects of the client renewal process, including obtaining updated information, marketing, negotiating terms and pricing, reviewing quotes, presenting renewal numbers, and invoicing
  • Review quote documents to ensure insurance requirements are included
  • Manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction
  • Manage and delegate work to Associate Account Managers I and II
  • Maintain relationships with underwriters and negotiate coverage
  • Ensure accurate proposals, bind coverage, review policies, and create client policy summaries and binders
  • Set up and maintain electronic records
  • Apply best practices and internal broker standards to client files and information
  • Train and collaborate with team members on coverage, exposures, and client knowledge
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two or more years of insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in an account management role preferred
  • High School or equivalent
  • P & C Insurance Producer License Required
  • Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization
  • Applied EPIC Agency Management System experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to sit regularly, use hands and fingers, and talk or hear
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds
  • Close vision on computer monitor required
