About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a book of employee benefits business collaboratively with the Producer, Account Executive, and Account Administrator
  • Coordinate and provide day-to-day service for employee benefits clients
  • Own the annual renewal and marketing process
  • Maintain client relationships, support client retention, and maintain strong carrier relationships
  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact and resolve client questions and issues
  • Apply knowledge of medical and ancillary benefits, funding types, and carrier offerings
  • Participate in Critical Path execution and renewal preparation
  • Organize meetings with team members and clients and present confidently to clients
  • Lead and execute the full renewal and RFP process with Account Executives
  • Manage claims and coverage issue resolution
  • Collaborate with CAST and BTT internal teams to deliver client needs
  • Explain HUB consulting practices and resources to clients
  • Attend approved industry-related continuing education training and courses
  • Support multiple Account Executives and Account Administrators with books of business
  • Manage client projects and maintain open, consistent communication
  • Process ancillary marketing through HUB’s GA partnership and perform quality assurance reviews
  • Create and review marketing presentations for client benefits
  • Manage new carrier, plan, or vendor implementation and project management
  • Collect necessary client reports
  • Execute timely and accurate new client onboarding
  • Advise and guide clients on compliance matters and send monthly reports as needed
  • Develop open enrollment strategies and conduct or record benefits presentations
  • Perform contract review and support preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria, and POP Plan documents
  • Maintain accurate client and carrier files
  • Maintain HUB’s client tracking system, monday.com
  • Mentor Account Administrators where applicable
  • Follow HUB Broker Standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2-4 years of related experience working as an Account Manager or Account Representative in the employee benefit arena
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • L&H License required or must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Dependable transportation
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers and teammates
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a big plus
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to follow guidelines for working in BMS (BenefitPoint) for premium efficiency with the team
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Some travel by car to meet with clients and attend outside events
