About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain an established employee benefits book of business
  • Manage client accounts, including service requests, policy changes, cancellations, and related functions
  • Work directly with clients to answer questions and obtain information for quotes, endorsements, or renewals
  • Process client service requests and gather information for submissions
  • Verify and maintain account files and records
  • Review insurance applications and policies for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines
  • Provide insurance information and support to Sales Executives in written forms
  • Screen and process insurance applications
  • Prepare and compile insurance-related documents
  • Market existing and new accounts
  • Maintain positive carrier relationships
  • Assist in meeting office sales goals
  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Life/Health license is required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Required experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Required education: High school or equivalent
  • Ability to manage a book of business of $400,000+
  • Ability to review insurance applications and policies for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines
  • Ability to process insurance applications and insurance-related documents
  • Ability to maintain records and account files
  • Ability to maintain positive carrier relationships
  • Some travel may be required, up to 20%
