About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a book of commercial lines accounts
- Market accounts to insurance carriers
- Prepare quotes and proposals
- Respond quickly to policy inquiries by email and phone
- Maintain renewal controls on expirations and binders
- Check policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy
- Maintain accurate and organized account files
- Facilitate positive and effective relationships with clients and insurance carrier staff
- Serve as the point of contact for clients and the account team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous insurance industry experience preferred or professional business experience
- Active Property & Casualty license; or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
- Excellent customer service and proactive relationship management
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems
