About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate smooth interactions between clients and carriers regarding property and casualty issues
  • Monitor ongoing property and casualty activity and alert HUB Producer teams to potential claims or loss-control issues
  • Prepare and present periodic claim reviews to clients
  • Assist with Third Party Administrator and insurance carrier selections
  • Ensure client questions and concerns are addressed by claims departments or TPAs
  • Interact with clients by telephone and in person to deliver and gather information
  • Negotiate plans of action and reserve reductions with insurers
  • Assist producers with conducting claims with clients and carriers
  • Analyze loss history to identify risk-reduction strategies
  • Attend sales presentations and renewal visits to present claims, risk-reduction programs and loss information
  • Implement corrections of carrier errors
  • Apply working knowledge of policy coverage to property and casualty claims
  • Maintain accurate and organized claim files and document conversations with clients and carrier representatives
  • Update HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems and ensure data accuracy
  • Stay current on insurance industry changes and external conditions affecting clients
  • Make recommendations to clients in response to industry and external changes
  • Attend industry-related continuing education training and courses
  • Access and utilize claims-related carrier online systems
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 5-7 years property & casualty claims adjustment experience (brokerage preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • 2-5 years property & casualty claims adjustment experience (brokerage preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Property & Casualty License required or willingness to obtain within 3 months
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and agency management systems
  • Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate solutions
  • Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Effective professional oral and written communication
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively with insurance and service vendors
  • Ability to respond promptly and accurately to customer needs and difficult situations
  • Ability to work with a team and coach others
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Ability to remain stationary for most of the workday and communicate accurately with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to operate computers and office productivity machinery
