About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and retain/service existing and new wholesale and retail marine business generated by the Team Producer
  • Produce new business as appropriate
  • Review and analyze commercial marine accounts for coverage and limits, and make recommendations to clients and producers
  • Work with management on new business initiatives
  • Develop and maintain client and producer relationships
  • Handle account servicing and coordinate with an assigned Assistant/Account Manager when appropriate
  • Develop exposure information and vet or prepare applications for new and renewal business market submissions
  • Determine marketing strategies based on client or producer needs
  • Vet market quotes for compliance, present them to producers, create proposals, and present them to retail clients
  • Interface with the accounting department as needed
  • Monitor industry changes and trends to anticipate and respond to producer and client needs
  • Conduct business in alignment with company objectives and earnings potential
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–10 years of experience in P&C Account Management; required experience listed as 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Marine experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license required at time of hire or within 6 months of hire
  • Strong administrative and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Effective time management and multitasking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to interface with clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • No travel required
