About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct advanced GIS analysis using independent initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Produce high-level analyses and detailed reports, presenting findings to management
  • Guide and support GIS Analysts through mentoring and peer reviews
  • Assist and support the Team Leader GIS in managing and executing GIS-related tasks
  • Facilitate the use of GIS data, including remote sensing data
  • Prepare and deliver periodic reports on GIS activities and project progress to management
  • Evaluate technological advances and promote appropriate solutions among end-users
  • Provide strategic advice and help direct GIS initiatives for customers and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in GIS, with a proven track record of advanced analysis and problem-solving
  • Strong background in GIS analysis, report generation, and mentoring
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with a range of GIS data types and remote sensing technologies
  • Ability to assist team leadership and provide strategic advice on GIS projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in GIS analysis and team support
