About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Recruit and hire 3+ top mobile engineers
Develop and scale a high-performing team across iOS, Android, and cross-platform disciplines
Drive mobile roadmaps across employee and company-admin product surfaces
Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, device fragmentation, and AI-assisted engineering tools
Own release engineering practices, pipeline management, build sign-offs, staged App Store and Google Play rollouts, feature flags, automated PR testing, and cross-device QA
Partner with product management, UX design, operations, and backend teams on API contracts, backend-driven UI, security controls, and release schedules
Establish and maintain mobile observability using Braze, Sentry, or Datadog
Mentor the team and define mobile engineering processes, architecture, pipelines, release processes, QA infrastructure, and telemetry
Own outcomes including app store ratings, crash-free sessions, release governance, and reliable app delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams, with a strong focus on mobile application delivery
Proven track record of shipping production iOS, Android, or cross-platform React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform apps across multiple store release cycles
Experience with mobile release operations, store submission guidelines, and feature flag management
Deep technical background in mobile software engineering using Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform
Understanding of mobile architecture trade-offs, device farms, automated UI testing with XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium, client-side telemetry, and API contract design
Excellent verbal and written communication, mentorship abilities, and experience fostering healthy, inclusive work environments
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
