About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage several smaller tactical quantitative, qualitative, and community research projects simultaneously
  • Support senior researchers on larger strategic projects
  • Lead research activity design and data-capture approaches
  • Moderate research activities and uncover unspoken needs and emotions
  • Monitor survey fieldwork and make decisions to facilitate progress, including quota modifications
  • Analyze research activity data and lead analysis-plan design
  • Create commercially savvy, client-ready reports with conclusions and recommendations
  • Incorporate insights from Culture and Trends and client data into research outputs
  • Translate client information needs into project designs and select appropriate activities and solutions
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate solutions beyond primary research, including Culture Trends and eÿeka crowdsourcing
  • Present regularly to clients and support client workshops and brainstorms
  • Independently manage client relationships and balance client and business needs
  • Participate in NTMY client meetings and build networks outside the insight team
  • Develop sector expertise, share targeted internal content, and create blogs and client case studies
  • Manage account commercial activities using platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Contribute to project financials, proposals, sales pitches, and new-client outreach
  • Coach junior consultants and share best practices to improve performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., social science, psychology, business, or economics)
  • At least 5-7 years of professional market research experience
  • Experience managing quantitative, qualitative, and community research projects
  • Ability to design research activities and approaches for data capture
  • Confident moderation skills
  • Ability to ladder questioning to uncover unspoken needs and emotions
  • Ability to evaluate survey fieldwork and modify quotas as needed
  • Ability to analyze activity data and design analysis plans
  • Commercially savvy report-writing skills
  • Ability to translate client information needs into project designs
  • Client presentation and workshop participation experience
  • Client account management and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of customer relationship platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Understanding of research tools, methods, solutions, and competitive positioning
  • Business financial acumen and proposal-writing experience
  • Content creation skills, including blog posts and client case studies
  • Ability to coach and develop junior consultants
