About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements
- Prepare balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules
- Conduct or assist in documenting accounting projects
- Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions
- Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and compliant with accepted accounting policies and principles
- Provide financial support through forecasting, budgeting and analysis of budget variations
- Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements and reports
- Advise executives on matters of significance and develop functional strategies
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues
- Work under minimal supervision
- Report to an Associate Director of CenterWell Pharmacy Controllership
- Work as an individual contributor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
- 8 or more years of inventory management, accounting, process improvement
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Progressive leadership (formal or informal) and management experience
- Prior experience within the financial industry
- Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred
- Certified Public Accountant license preferred
- Previous experience with process automation and flows preferred
- Prior Pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred
- Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps
- Wireless, wired cable or DSL internet connection suggested
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
