About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to administration of utilization management
- Perform varied, moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments
- Perform computations
- Provide non-clinical support for policies and procedures ensuring appropriate treatment, care, or services for members
- Interpret department policies and methods for completing assignments
- Identify work expectations and quality standards within defined parameters
- Prioritize and schedule assignments with minimal direction
- Follow standard policies and practices while exercising independent discretion
- Complete a six-week training process
- Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 or more years administrative or technical support experience in an office type environment
- Proficient utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Must reside and perform work in Louisiana
- Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time
- Weekend rotations are required
- Ability to work overtime when requested to meet business needs
- Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Cannot be a current or former Louisiana Health Department employee covered by the stated restriction unless separated from LDH for two or more years
