About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead quality engineering execution for assigned applications, products, or agile teams
  • Manage, coach, and develop quality engineering leaders, engineers, and SDETs
  • Implement segment and enterprise quality engineering standards, practices, and governance
  • Drive functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and release validation activities
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, and enterprise quality teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Oversee defect triage, trend analysis, root-cause follow-up, and corrective-action tracking
  • Support release-readiness assessments and production deployment validation
  • Advance automation adoption and sustainable regression coverage
  • Integrate automated validations and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines
  • Coordinate performance, resiliency, operational-readiness, and security validation activities
  • Monitor quality metrics, delivery trends, and production outcomes
  • Escalate systemic quality concerns, portfolio risks, and capacity constraints
  • Contribute to quality engineering modernization through enterprise tools and reusable frameworks
  • Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities while ensuring security, privacy, regulatory, and operational compliance
  • Deliver improved quality execution, reduced escaped defects, stronger automation, consistent release readiness, and team development outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, testing, or related technical disciplines
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality engineering, test automation, or software delivery teams in enterprise environments
  • Experience leading quality engineering activities across multiple agile teams or complex applications
  • Experience improving quality engineering practices, including automation, process improvement, and metrics-based execution
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing approaches
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and modern application architectures
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, and operational teams
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and coordinating across distributed teams
  • Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry preferred
  • Familiarity with member, provider, digital experience, or enterprise platform domains preferred
  • Experience with enterprise quality tools, test management platforms, and engineering lifecycle tools preferred
  • Knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native architectures preferred
  • Experience supporting non-functional testing, including performance and resiliency preferred
  • Exposure to AI-enabled quality engineering or intelligent automation capabilities preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles across cloud, hybrid, on-premise, and SaaS environments preferred
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled quality engineering or intelligent automation capabilities preferred
  • Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
  • Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
