About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support coordination, documentation, and communication of medical services or benefit administration determinations
Interpret criteria, policies, and procedures using behavioral health skills and clinical knowledge
Provide appropriate treatment, care, or services for members
Coordinate and communicate with providers, members, and other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment
Make independent determinations and decisions regarding work methods and courses of action
Follow established guidelines and procedures
Work from a dedicated home workspace and maintain required internet connectivity
Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana
Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing (ASN) from an accredited university
1 or more years of post-degree clinical experience in private practice or other patient care
1 or more year of managed care experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Must reside in the state of Indiana
Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Self-provided internet with minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps
BSN preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience with utilization review process preferred
Previous experience with MCG, ASAM, and medical policy reviews preferred
Experience with behavioral change, health promotion, coaching and wellness preferred
Experience working with the older adult population preferred
Knowledge of community health and social service agencies and additional community resources preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
