About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to administration of care management
- Provide non-clinical support for assessing and evaluating members' needs
- Guide members and families toward appropriate care and well-being resources
- Facilitate interaction with resources supporting member care and well-being
- Perform varied, moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments
- Perform computations
- Interpret department policies and methods for completing assignments
- Identify work expectations and quality standards within defined parameters
- Prioritize and schedule assignments with some latitude
- Work onsite 1 to 2 days per week at the Schaumburg or downtown Chicago office
- Attend occasional Humana office travel for training or meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Less than 3 years of technical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Administrative support experience in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with care and well-being resources
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
- Must reside in, or within a commutable distance to, the Schaumburg office or downtown Chicago office
- Must be available to work onsite 1 to 2 days per week
- Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
- Associate's degree preferred
- Microsoft Access proficiency preferred
