About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead high-priority, cross-functional work at the intersection of business strategy, healthcare policy, and advocacy
Own complex workstreams from initial framing through recommendation and execution
Define scope, priorities, workplans, milestones, and decisions
Advise senior leaders by framing complex business and policy issues, surfacing tradeoffs, synthesizing perspectives, and developing recommendations
Develop coordinated strategies connecting healthcare policy developments to business objectives
Lead research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and scenario planning
Establish accountability, timelines, and follow-through for execution
Create executive-ready presentations, briefings, memos, and decision materials
Build trust and alignment across functions and navigate differing perspectives
Manage external consulting partners
Report to the SVP, Strategy & Public Affairs
Travel as needed to support business priorities, including travel to Louisville, Washington, DC, Chicago, Nashville, and New York

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree required
MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, healthcare strategy, enterprise transformation, public affairs strategy, or a similarly rigorous, high-performance environment
Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, preferably including payer and/or provider experience
Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and lead complex cross-functional work
Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Ability to take full ownership of complex workstreams and drive execution with limited direction
Exceptional project leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without formal authority
High emotional intelligence
Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid home/office employees
Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
