About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the enterprise Test Data Management function within Enterprise Quality Engineering
- Define and execute the TDM strategy, operating model, and organizational development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of managers, engineers, and test data specialists
- Oversee a distributed organization of 50+ associates
- Partner with Quality Engineering, Engineering, Product, Architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, Privacy, Risk, and Data teams
- Oversee test data provisioning, synthetic data generation, masking, obfuscation, de-identification, data quality enablement, automation, lifecycle management, and environment coordination
- Ensure test data is secure, scalable, compliant, available, and fit for purpose
- Support functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and non-production validation testing
- Drive AI-enabled and automation-first TDM strategies
- Integrate TDM automation into CI/CD and engineering workflows
- Modernize TDM tooling, workflows, and reusable patterns
- Define and enforce TDM standards, governance, operating policies, privacy controls, security controls, and audit readiness
- Establish standards for secure handling of production-like data in test environments
- Enable delivery teams with timely, compliant, high-quality test data services
- Coordinate environments and shared services to reduce data setup, refresh, and availability delays
- Define and monitor KPIs for test data availability, provisioning speed, automation adoption, compliance, data quality, and operational efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement and build maturity roadmaps
- Provide reporting and operational transparency to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any technology related degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, test data management, data engineering, software engineering, or related technical disciplines
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise-scale technology teams, including managers and geographically distributed associates
- Experience leading or scaling test data management, data engineering, or quality engineering functions in a large enterprise environment
- Demonstrated success building and operating secure, scalable, and compliant test data solutions
- Experience with data provisioning, masking, obfuscation, de-identification, synthetic data generation, and lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of privacy, security, and compliance considerations for test data in regulated environments
- Experience driving automation and process modernization across engineering or quality workflows
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments and supporting modern software delivery practices
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, payer/insurance, or another highly regulated industry
- Preferred: experience supporting enterprise quality engineering or platform enablement organizations
- Preferred: familiarity with test data management platforms, masking tools, synthetic data solutions, and data quality tooling
- Preferred: knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise engineering platforms
- Preferred: experience applying AI or machine learning capabilities to test data, quality engineering, or operational optimization
- Preferred: familiarity with data governance, data retention, and environment management practices in large-scale enterprises
