About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop reports for bids and budgets
- Assess changes in Medicare regulations
- Support Stars financial reporting
- Produce, update, and improve financial models
- Build strong relationships with business partners
- Collaborate with colleagues in Stars Analytics and Medicare Risk Adjustment
- Translate complex financial and nonfinancial data into concise, presentation-ready insights for management decisions
- Extract raw data from multiple databases and summarize it efficiently
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Use SAS, SQL, and Excel regularly
- Explain variances and trends
- Enhance modeling techniques
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years technical experience
- Programming skills in languages such as SQL and Python
- Experience compiling, modeling, interpreting, and analyzing data to identify, explain, and influence variances and trends
- Experience enhancing modeling techniques
- Experience managing data to support and influence decisions about daily operations, strategic planning, and business performance issues
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Experience with Power BI and Databricks (preferred)
- Financial or actuarial background (preferred)
- Medicare Advantage and/or Stars experience (preferred)
- Home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
