About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle 40+ inbound calls daily from providers in a back-to-back call center environment
- Address benefit questions, service issues, and general inquiries
- Escalate unresolved and pending customer grievances
- Document interactions, actions taken, and outcomes in internal systems
- Resolve routine to moderately complex issues using established guidelines and workflows
- Identify issues requiring escalation and hand off to appropriate teams
- Meet quality, productivity, and customer experience expectations
- Support members and providers by answering questions, resolving concerns, and guiding them through next steps
- Deliver empathetic, accountable, high-quality customer experiences
- Attend virtual training and required leadership meetings with camera on
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of Customer Service experience
- Strong typing and computer navigation skills
- Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, including use of multiple computer applications simultaneously
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Ability to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday–Friday, after training
- Ability to attend 6–7 weeks of virtual training from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Eastern Time, Monday–Friday
- Must work from a quiet, dedicated space protecting member PHI/HIPAA information
- Self-provided internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Willingness to remain in the position for twelve months before applying to other Humana opportunities outside the team
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Prior inbound call center experience
- Preferred: Prior Healthcare experience
- Preferred: Bilingual English and Spanish, with ability to read, write, and speak both languages
- Bilingual applicants must complete the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test
