About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advocate for the business within IT and align technology execution with business strategy
- Align Humana’s Technology Strategy with corporate vision and segment business strategies
- Engage in enterprise technology modernization initiatives with application teams and business and IT stakeholders
- Provide architecture guidance and execution support to deliver business value
- Drive adoption and delivery of lean enterprise architecture within an agile delivery framework
- Map business vision and strategy to value streams, business capabilities, and business functions
- Document current-state architecture, value streams, and domain capability models
- Apply portfolio rationalization to identify innovation opportunities and reduce risk, complexity, and operating costs
- Define and maintain technology strategies, intermediate architectures, and end-state architectures
- Enable innovation and evolution of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud platforms
- Evaluate new technologies and platforms and develop architecture standards
- Select and use cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies, and solutions to deliver robust, integrated architecture
- Mentor and guide enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects across Humana
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Progressive experience as a senior application and/or solution architect or technical lead in a large company spanning multiple enterprise systems
- 10 or more years of hands-on design, development, and testing of software applications
- 3–5 years of experience in Cloud technologies, Cloud migration, or Enterprise Architecture
- Expert knowledge and experience with enterprise architecture pattern development and application, cloud architectures, and agile delivery
- Associate or Professional level solution architecture certification in Azure, GCP and/or AWS (preferred)
- 2+ years of project leadership and consulting experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of healthcare business domains including Medicare, Medicaid, Group, and Specialty (preferred)
- Minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload internet connection for home work
- Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
