About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for sales compliance and Book of Business administration capabilities
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog to maximize business value and align delivery with organizational priorities
- Translate complex business, regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements into product features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules
- Define, document, implement, and govern business rules for eligibility, enrollment, servicing, retention, and producer management
- Partner with compliance stakeholders to reflect regulatory and business requirements in workflows, decision engines, and automated processes
- Serve as the Agile team's primary contact for product direction, backlog prioritization, requirements clarification, and product decisions
- Collaborate with business, operations, compliance, technology, and other cross-functional partners throughout product development
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and impacts to Book of Business outcomes
- Balance business priorities, regulatory requirements, customer experience, and technical constraints in product decisions
- Develop acceptance criteria and verify delivered capabilities meet business and compliance requirements
- Support testing and validation of business rules and product capabilities before implementation
- Establish governance processes to keep business rules accurate, traceable, and aligned with changing requirements
- Identify process-streamlining and operational-efficiency opportunities
- Advise leaders and stakeholders on product priorities, process improvements, compliance considerations, risks, and strategic opportunities
- Exercise independent judgment on complex product and business issues with minimal supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 8+ years of technical, product, business systems, or related experience
- 2+ years of project, product, or initiative leadership experience
- Experience serving as a Product Owner or working closely with Agile product development teams
- Experience translating complex business requirements into product features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules
- Experience defining, documenting, testing, implementing, or managing complex business rules
- Strong analytical skills using data and business insights to support product decisions
- Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs in a complex business or technology environment
- Ability to work across business, operations, compliance, and technology teams
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to independently manage complex initiatives and competing priorities
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Home internet with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Preferred: experience supporting sales or regulatory compliance and rules-based decisioning platforms
- Preferred: experience with Book of Business administration, including eligibility, enrollment, servicing, retention, or producer-related processes
- Preferred: experience with business rules engines, decision engines, workflow automation, or rules-based technology solutions
- Preferred: experience supporting large-scale enterprise platforms and technology implementations
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, health insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Preferred: experience using analytics, operational metrics, and performance data to drive product strategy and prioritization
- Preferred: experience partnering with compliance or regulatory teams to translate requirements into technology solutions
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile product management practices and tools
- Preferred: Master's degree
