About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance
- Partner with design engineering, test engineering, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional business teams
- Lead products from final design completion through validation, qualification, and high-volume production release
- Ensure products are technically sound, manufacturable at scale, and compliant with performance, quality, and customer requirements
- Evaluate, verify, and qualify advanced technology components and systems
- Develop and execute engineering test strategies
- Analyze performance data, identify risks, and drive corrective actions
- Support successful product introduction and lifecycle management
- Liaise across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve complex product issues
- Improve product reliability and customer satisfaction
- Advise leadership on technical and operational strategies
- Address complex technical challenges, manage competing priorities, and make independent decisions with minimal supervision
- Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure
- Experience with unit testing and mocking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results within established timelines
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
- Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements, and trend reports
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to run large-scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams (preferred)
- Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes (preferred)
- Background in a dedicated SRE organization (preferred)
- Six Sigma certification (preferred)
- ITIL certification (preferred)
- Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
