About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide nursing services as ordered on the patient plan of care
  • Report problems and potential problems to the RN/Case Manager
  • Participate in the nursing process and provide input to the client's plan of care
  • Implement care plans as written
  • Evaluate care plan effectiveness and recommend revisions
  • Record pertinent observations and treatments according to Agency policies
  • Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety for clients
  • Perform trained nursing procedures
  • Notify appropriate personnel about unusual symptoms or changes in client condition
  • Participate in case conferences, meetings, and performance improvement activities
  • Maintain patient and business confidentiality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida
  • Minimum one-year current experience in an accredited hospital or accredited nursing home, with two years previous to employment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and without immediate supervision
  • Bilingual English and Spanish or Creole preferred
  • Florida Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
  • Provides documentation of high-tech certification if appropriate
  • Complies with all state regulatory acts and Agency policies and procedures
  • Provides necessary information to verify education and work experiences
