About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver financial analysis, actionable insights, and operational decision support to improve Medicare Advantage market performance
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Provider Engagement, Provider Contracting, Medicare Risk Adjustment, Clinical, and Market teams
- Support the Regional Vice President of Operations by translating market data, financial trends, and performance drivers into recommendations
- Lead recurring and ad hoc financial analyses, dashboards, and reports
- Identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement actions
- Support regional Medicare Advantage bid strategy, plan design, product positioning, and competitive analysis
- Partner with Corporate Finance on monthly capitation accruals, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly financial close
- Improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability through reporting automation, process standardization, and enhanced analytical tools
- Translate business needs into data and reporting requirements, data definitions, specifications, and analytic models
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships for recurring deliverables and strategic initiatives
- Present findings and recommendations to finance and non-finance audiences
- Contribute to continuous improvement, strong controls, customer focus, and operational excellence
- Lead and coach one direct report
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, business analytics, or related finance roles
- Experience in insurance, managed care, or Medicare Advantage
- Strength in trend analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights
- Experience using data to drive decisions, improve business performance, and support operational leaders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, and complex financial analysis
- Preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone
- Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
