About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute Humana's enterprise automation architecture strategy and roadmap
  • Establish reusable enterprise automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Create standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for quality engineering and automation
  • Evaluate emerging automation technologies and AI-driven testing solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
  • Create reusable automation accelerators, libraries, components, templates, and testing utilities
  • Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other enterprise delivery platforms
  • Drive improvements in automation reliability, maintainability, performance, and execution efficiency
  • Establish integration patterns across Azure DevOps, qTest, Tosca, Jira, and CI/CD platforms
  • Enable end-to-end traceability across requirements, test cases, automation assets, defects, releases, and production outcomes
  • Mentor quality engineers, SDETs, automation engineers, and technical leaders
  • Define and implement AI-enabled testing strategies and AI-based testing agents
  • Lead AI-driven test generation, self-healing automation, defect prediction, risk-based testing, and intelligent test execution
  • Provide architecture guidance and technical leadership across Humana business segments
  • Conduct automation architecture reviews and support enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Establish enterprise automation governance and standards
  • Drive quality gates, automated validations, shift-left testing, continuous testing, and continuous delivery
  • Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to optimize automation environments and infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of software quality engineering, automation engineering, SDET, or software engineering experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise automation frameworks
  • Deep expertise with Selenium, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, Appium, and API automation frameworks
  • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), qTest, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar
  • Experience implementing automation solutions for web, API, microservices, cloud-native, and distributed applications
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, consulting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
  • Self-provided internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
