About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support development and operations of Enterprise API platforms such as APIGEE within hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Implement the Enterprise API Platforms Engineering and Operations strategy through design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support
- Develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings
- Implement API solutions using API Management platforms, including API proxies, rate limiting, security, and analytics
- Implement software to monitor and manage Enterprise API and Integration platform environments, networks, systems, and applications
- Work with architects to establish CI/CD pipelines for efficient and secure software integration and delivery
- Collaborate with API and Integration platform architects on design, implementation, testing, production deployment, and support
- Facilitate development and communication of solutions to technical and business stakeholders
- Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks and work with cross-functional teams to remove them
- Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms such as APIGEE or IBM APIC
- 3 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP building cloud technology solutions
- Experience in cloud architecture, including infrastructure, storage, networking, security, and costing
- Expertise using Azure and GCP tools, Bash shell scripts, Terraform, and utilities to create and configure cloud assets
- Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms such as APIGEE
- Proficiency developing APIs in APIGEE and troubleshooting API failures
- Experience with Postman and JMeter
- Understanding of XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, and caching
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementation for Apigee
- Expertise in Kubernetes for application deployment, scaling, and management
- Experience with containerization
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Motivation to learn new technologies and identify process improvements and efficiencies
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience translating software features and architecture to infrastructure requirements preferred
- Python experience preferred
- Cloud certifications preferred
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Lean project execution methodologies preferred
- Home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
