About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
Manage the company's supply portfolio and ensure spending transparency
Comply with federal and state regulatory guidelines
Reconcile purchases with vendor invoices
Validate pricing and contract compliance
Monitor sales and margins through vendor negotiations and promotional opportunities
Manage purchasing activities with pharmaceutical companies for drug purchasing
Influence department strategy
Make decisions on technical approaches for project components
Report to an Associate Director
Work as an individual contributor
No domestic travel; occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, vendor management and/or contracting
Previous sourcing experience with RFI/RFQ/RFP
Experience partnering and presenting to leadership
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Business analysis capabilities to develop and execute sourcing programs and services
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Ability to contribute effectively as a team member and team lead
Ability to tailor communication for diverse audiences, including senior leadership
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or another related field (desired)
Project Management skills (desired)
Spend analytics and reporting skills (desired)
Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
