About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with users and stakeholders to understand the problems behind their requests
Propose and challenge roadmap items, define work, and write user stories
Run discovery, spikes, and prototypes before full implementation
Measure impact on adoption, accessibility, performance, and reliability
Design, develop, and deploy WCAG 2.2-compliant user interfaces, GraphQL APIs, and Node.js microservices on Azure
Follow test-driven development and apply performance and security best practices
Build and maintain AI coding skills and tooling
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in cross-functional Agile teams
Maintain clear technical documentation
Help establish the team’s emerging AI-agent skills-driven engineering practice

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
5 or more years of software engineering experience, including 3 or more years of full-stack web development
2 or more years each with React, Node.js, and GraphQL
Experience building accessible user interfaces that meet WCAG 2.2
Experience owning product or technical direction, such as shaping a roadmap or turning ambiguous problems into shipped outcomes
Hands-on daily experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, including reviewing and refining their output
Self-provided internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Test-driven development with Vitest, Jest, or Playwright
Deploying microservices to Azure with Docker or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
Micro-frontend architecture with Module Federation, including shared modules and cross-app dependencies
Building React applications with TanStack Query, TanStack Router, TanStack Start, or Next.js
Integrating AI into production features, or writing AI agent skills
