Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, prioritize, and manage product backlogs for enterprise pharmacy applications and platforms
  • Maximize business value through backlog ownership and prioritization
  • Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value work
  • Balance strategic initiatives, operational needs, defect remediation, regulatory requirements, and technical improvements
  • Ensure backlog items are refined, estimated, and ready for development and delivery
  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements with business, operations, engineering, and architecture teams
  • Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, testable, and aligned with business objectives
  • Participate in solution design discussions and provide business and operational context
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Clarify requirements and remove delivery impediments with engineering and testing teams
  • Review completed functionality and validate solutions against business expectations and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate release readiness and support deployment of new capabilities and enhancements
  • Serve as primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions and manage expectations regarding scope, timelines, and dependencies
  • Build alignment across Product Management, Operations, Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Vendor organizations
  • Communicate progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and business impacts to stakeholders and leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or related role
  • Strong experience managing product backlogs within Agile delivery organizations
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, product lifecycle management, and software delivery processes
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and balance strategic, operational, and regulatory demands
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Knowledge of healthcare, pharmacy operations, or regulated industries preferred
  • Proven experience managing complex product backlogs supporting enterprise-scale applications and business processes
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, customer service, fulfillment, pharmacy operations, and transaction-processing environments
  • Experience defining and managing epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release scope
  • Ability to convert strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans and measurable business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills using operational data, business metrics, and user feedback to drive prioritization decisions
  • Experience partnering with architecture and engineering teams to define scalable, maintainable, and supportable solutions
  • Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, workflow orchestration, and enterprise application architectures
  • Ability to manage dependencies, resolve competing priorities, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience supporting production applications, operational improvements, regulatory initiatives, and business-critical projects
  • Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make informed product decisions with minimal supervision
  • Experience working within high-volume, mission-critical, and compliance-driven business environments
